Copper Slag Grit - Iron Silicate

Copper Slag is a blastcleaning grit made of granulated slag from metal melting processes. (also called Iron-silicate).

Applications

Blastcleaning of steel and stone/concrete surfaces, removal of mill scale, rust, old paint, dirt etc. Suitable for SA-3, SA-21/2 and SA-2.

Grain Sizes

• 0.1 - 0.8 mm
• 0.2 - 1.5 mm
• 0.5 - 1.5 mm
• 0.2 - 2.5 mm
• 0.5 - 2.0 mm
• 0.5 - 2.5 mm

Packing

• 3-ply paper bags, 50 kgs content, on shrinkfoiled export pallets.
• Strong woven polypropylene big bags, with 4 lifting loops.

Chemical Composition (Indication only)

• SiO2 : 25 -35 % in bound form, < 1% free silica
• Al203 : 4 – 9 %
• Fe2O3 : 40 – 45 %
• CaO : 4 -9 % K2O : 0.1 %
• MgO : 0.05 TiO : 0.1 %
• MgO : 2-3 %
• Na2O : 0.2%
• Free silica : <1 %
